30 hours later and we're finally here

We finally touched down in London to a balmy 22 degrees.  First things first, it's off to find our bags - fingers, legs, arms and eyes crossed.  Because Cindy and Jack have got Irish passports they can zip through the Euro passports, so it's their job to go bag hunting, while I go through the slow customs process and the inevitable customs snake - as it turned out it was more like an anaconda!!!!!   No smart gates for non Euro travellers.  The anaconda went back and forth six times with the result being it took me 35 mins to get to the customs desk.

But the great news was, once I caught up with Cindy and Jack, I found the waiting with all our bags safely in tow.

So it's off to London.  We walked out the arrivals door and were greeted with Holly and Gracies smiling faces - perfect!!!  So straight into London to find our AirBNB.  It feels good to be travelling on the tubes again. Smelly, dirty, crammed with people, but great fun!

The AirBNB is awesome.  Really spacious and in a great location, only about 20 mins walk to Grace and Michaels flat.  Having showered and cleaned up, it was nearly 10:00pm so it was out for quiet drink and something small to eat before heading back to the BNB to get some much needed sleep.
