Sunday
After the celebrations from the night before, it was a slow start to the day with the morning spent cleaning up.
Jack left us this morning to head up to Sheffield to meet up with a friend and do a bit of a walk in the country. He's staying the night up there before heading back to London the next day to catch his flight back to NZ. The next time we'll see him is at the end of August.
Chores done and it was off up to Henlow to visit Helena, the mother of our friend Penny
from home. It was great to catch up withHelena and her daughter in law Bussy and daughter Scarlett who we first met around 15 years ago.

After a quick visit it was back to Flitton and time to meet up with the Irish cousins and Joes family at the pub for afternoon drinks and then a curry dinner. Seems that's all we're doing is drinking and eating. Not a good time to diet!
From there it was back to the house for a night cap and watch Livvi and Joe open a few of their wedding gifts. Feeling pretty knackered, we finally got into bed around midnight.
Monday
Best sleep of the trip so far! I think I slept about 8 hours!!
As it was our last day, it was time to pack up and get ready to head to London. Before heading back to London, me, Cindy, Holly, Grace and Michael went for a drive to the university town of Cambridge for a look around.
We spent a couple of hours wandering around the old historic colleges and watching the students taking visitors punting on the very picturesque river that runs through town, before finding a pub beside the river to have lunch.
After lunch it was back to Flitton to drop off Holly and then head back into London.
Hire car safely dropped off, we checked into our hotel and then headed in to town to watch the stage show "The Book of Mormon". The show, the story of a group of Mormons trying to spread the word of the Lord in Uganda, was bloody hilarious. Billed as one of the funniest shows for a long time, it certainly didn't disappoint! So long as you're not offended by bad language or people taking the piss out of religion, then I would highly recommend seeing the show.
After the show we caught up with Grace & Michael and one of Graces friends who had just flown in the day before, for one last drink before heading off to Paris the next day.
We went to this excellent Jamaican place called The Rum Kitchen, near Soho. Nice spicy chicken pieces and pork ribs, washed down with some Red Stripe- beautiful!
